Community Action

To express God’s love in a practical way in our local community through outreach projects and events that will impact and transform lives. Matthew 5:13-16

Working with other churches and para-church organizations in and around the borough of Barnet, Jesus House's Community Action aims to embody the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ by affecting a positive and life-changing turnaround in the local community.

Using diverse and innovative measures, the ministry works to bring a Christian response to the issues and challenges of the borough, organizing various outreach projects and events designed to impact and transform the lives of the members our community for the better.

Our main operating base in the community is The Novo Centre, a drop-in centre situated on The Concourse at The Grahame Park Estate in Colindale.

We aim to help disadvantaged individuals and families facing challenges through practical projects like ‘The Colindale Foodbank’, and to influence change in the negative values and belief systems pervading society at large.

The gospel of Jesus Christ can be summed up neatly in a single sentence - "Go into all the world and be examples of God's love" - Community Action seeks to do just that by driving the church's community focus by meeting the needs of the less fortunate around us and providing opportunities for people who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ to discover how to.
