Esthers

Esthers is the women’s ministry of Jesus House. The word ‘Esther’ means “Star” and the name of the ministry was derived from the story of Queen Esther in the Bible, who was graced with wisdom and insight, and used her position to positively influence the lives of people around her.

The principal purpose of the Esthers is to raise women of virtue who influence and transform lives through the honourable exercise of God-given authority and wisdom. These objectives are exemplified through a number of activities during the year.

Esthers is open to all women aged 21 years and over and its activities include a monthly informal meeting (held on the first Thursday of each month); an annual conference – the Esthers’ Experience – that doubles as a weekend where spirit, soul and body are thoroughly refreshed through inspirational teachings, beauty treatments and various opportunities to rest, exercise and simply have fun; a spring retreat which provides an opportunity for the women to step away from everyday demands and seek God in quiet, peaceful and comfortable surroundings.
