Pastor Agu Irukwu - 21 Days Later
21 Days Later . . .
Pastor Agu returns -“It's good to be back”
Pastor Agu returned to Jesus House on Sunday, 29th January, after 21 days seeking God’s face through prayer and reflection.
Upon his return he shared an inspirational message of hope for the beginning of the year, urging each person to build a stronger relationship with God. “The road to great grace and great power is narrow and difficult”.
Pastor Agu challenged the church reminding them that “there is a price to pay”.
For him the retreat was a great opportunity to rest, to focus on prayer and hear from God and be nourished. He told the congregation, “It's good to be back”.
Perhaps a retreat to pray at the start of the year could be just what you need . . .
We all lead very busy lives, and our attention is pulled in so many different directions. A retreat is an opportunity to change our environment, and it is essential for our health and spiritual well-being.
Retreats often have long term benefits including:
- Seeking clarity or insight in your life
- Reconnecting with God
- Dedicating a block of time to spiritual practice and study
- Reflecting on your life
- Resting, deep relaxation and healing
- Placing yourself in a different environment
- Having some time for yourself
